FBI Hostage Rescue Team member Shane Livingstone was sidelined after breaking his arm in his last case and was getting frustrated when he was selected to join a task force to hunt down a serial murderer. Shane Livingstone had to work with Yael Brooks, who works for Alex Parker security firm and is a white-hat hacker who searches cyberspace for predators. Both Shane and Yael have to leave to trust each other to catch this psychopath before he kills them. The readers of Cold Silence will continue to follow Shane Livingstone and Yael Brooks to discover what happens.
Cold Silence is another excellent romantic suspense book by Toni Anderson. As with her previous books, she kept up the tradition by ensuring I engaged with the story and the characters from the first page. I love Toni Anderson’s portrayal of her characters and how they interact with each other throughout this book. Cold Silence is well-written and researched, and I like Toni Anderson’s description of the settings.
The readers of Cold Silence will learn about the consequences of online dating and start to understand the role of white-hat hackers in law enforcement investigations.
